My sweet husband wanted to do something special for me for my 25th birthday. So he planned a little get-away to Corpus Christi for the two of us! We had such a great time!
Thursday
Daytime: We checked in at the Radisson Hotel and then spent the rest of the afternoon laying out on the beach!!
Evening: We went to an awesome restaurant called Brewster Street Ice House. They had delicious food and a great happy hour!! We also listened to some live Texas Country Music, including Cory Morrow!! It was so much fun!

Friday
Daytime: Unfortunately, it rained all day Friday.... but Tyler had a great back up plan! We toured the USS Lexington - one of the first aircraft carriers built during World War II for the U.S. Navy. After that, we went to the Texas State Aquarium. A-MA-ZING! I loved going there!! I've never seen Dolphins up close before so I was suuuper excited!! It was a great place and I definitely recommend going there if you ever go to Corpus!!
Evening: That night, we went to Landry's Seafood Restaurant on the bay. So yummy! After dinner, we went to watch the Corpus Christi Hooks play some baseball at Whataburger Field. The Hooks are a minor league baseball team of the Texas League , and are the Double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros!! After the game, there was an awesome fireworks show!! It was a perfect way to end the day!!

Saturday - My Birthday!!
Daytime: For my birthday, Tyler took me to breakfast at IHOP - my favorite breakfast place!! We then drove down to Port Aransas where they happened to be having their annual Texas SandFest and Festival!! There were some pretty amazing and artistic sand sculptures!! So we spent the day walking around, laying out, admiring the sand castles, and eating some delicious food!!
Evening: That night, we drove back to Corpus, checked in at the beautiful Omni Hotel, and went to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack on the bay!! After dinner, we went to a fun Irish Pub near our hotel. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday!!

So the guy building the sand castle below originially was building the Eiffel Tower. We walked up just in time to see his amazing creation before it fell over. It was so sad and the guy was so upset. He then started building this gorilla. Crazy huh?
